UiPath and Google Cloud expand their partnership to accelerate access to generative AI (Gen AI) and cloud-based automation to deploy AI solutions easily

UiPath is now available on Google Cloud Marketplace in an expanded partnership deal, making it easier for Google Cloud customers to purchase the UiPath Business Automation Platform.

With this newly-defined partnership, customers can deploy and scale automation initiatives on Google Cloud infrastructure. It will also be possible for customers to focus on automation by integrating Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Google Workspace business collaboration offerings.

This news comes shortly after UiPath announced that it would be upscaling its AI and automation offerings to better power businesses on their digital transformation journeys, all designed to boost productivity.

Partnerships: The key to transforming enterprise AI

With this partnership, UiPath is able to integrate with Google AI, having recently announced its connector for Google Cloud Vertex AI - Google Cloud’s unified AI platform that allows automation professionals to inject Gen AI outputs into their automations by submitting prompts that return summaries, answers to questions and classifications.

With the connector, users can access activities to the PaLM 2 large language model (LLM), including text generation. They can also easily build and deploy machine learning models faster and in a more cost effective way, without the need for manual effort and complex code. UiPath customers can now incorporate machine learning models built with Vertex AI into business processes without the need for manual effort and complex code.

The UiPath platform combines specialised AI and Gen AI with enterprise automation, machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). When Gen AI is combined with specially trained models built on real business data, automations can understand, reason and create content to address complex business challenges.

In addition, UiPath customers can effortlessly integrate Google Vision, Google Text Translate and Google Text Analysis, to enable better business insights.

“UiPath automation brings AI directly into business processes to help enterprises execute on whatever ideas and innovations they can imagine. Our partnership with Google Cloud is an essential part of our strategy to help joint customers achieve AI-powered automation across the business,” says Kelly Ducourty, Chief Customer Officer at UiPath.

“This expanded partnership reinforces our shared mission to bring the transformative force of AI to life in the enterprise through advanced technologies that automate all knowledge work, integrate intelligence into everyday operations, and deliver solutions that help people work smarter.”

Fuelling Gen AI expansion for business growth

During an era of huge digital transformation, global businesses have seen a huge overhaul of their strategies in order to keep up. Given that it has changed how companies operate and deliver customer value, many have seen that partnerships between business and technology teams are a gateway to achieving corporate goals.

Currently, UiPath is prioritising developers via its new platforms so that AI can be built faster and more effectively. Its Automation Marketplace and Solution Accelerators aim to allow developers to ‘jumpstart’ their automation journeys. The company has invested heavily in its solution accelerators, which consists of a pre-built automation framework designed to implement automation faster.

Gen AI has fast-emerged as a strategic tool for bolstering business operations. According to a recent Dell Technologies survey, 52% of business leaders suggest that integrating Gen AI will provide them with a competitive advantage - particularly when it comes to cybersecurity.

“Gen AI and automation are key pillars to business transformation because they allow enterprises to work more productively, whilst also uncovering new insights to fuel growth,” comments Adaire Fox-Martin, President of Go to Market at Google Cloud. “Our expanding partnership with UiPath will help create new opportunities for businesses to utilise these capabilities to streamline thousands of processes with AI and automation, helping to save costs and unlock new innovation.”
