A1 Hrvatska, a leading Croatian telecommunications provider and part of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, has positioned itself at the forefront of sustainable digital infrastructure through its advanced network of data centres. Serving around two million customers and employing 2,000 people, A1 operates Croatia's most modern data centre, which holds a prestigious Tier III Facility certificate—one of only two in the country and the sole facility in Zagreb with this level of protection. This infrastructure ensures high availability, robust security, and comprehensive ICT solutions for both business and internal operations.

A1’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the design and operation of its data centres. All major facilities are powered exclusively by renewable energy sources, including solar and nuclear energy, which significantly reduces carbon emissions. Energy-efficient cooling systems, such as free-air cooling, and the use of low-power hardware further enhance operational efficiency.

Looking ahead, A1 is investing in edge computing to bring processing closer to users, supporting next-generation technologies like 5G, IoT, and AI.
