Cristina Bita’s work with Google and Dataminr

Dataminr has recently made Google’s Business Finance Officer and VP, Finance Cristina Bita Chair of the Audit Committee

In her role and Google, Cristina Bita is the company’s Business Finance Officer for the company’s Hardware and Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality organisations, as well as Global Marketing.

Since joining Google in 2006, Bita has helped a number of finance leadership roles across a number of different business areas. This includes Global Partnerships and Business Development, Global Sales and Consumer Products.

Before she joined the technology giant, Bita worked at Siemens/Osram holding different positions in Business Unit Controllership and Corporate FP&A. 

Now, Dataminr has appointed Bita to its Board of Directors and as Chairwoman of the Audit Committee.

Bita’s leading work with Google

Through her role at Google, Bita leads global finance activities for consumer hardware, consumer paid services as well as for the company's marketing investments globally.

With her years of experience, Bita is widely recognised as a leader who has held several finance leadership roles over her 15 years at Google. At the company, the Google executive served as the Chair of the Google Sustainability Board. 

In 2019, Bita was honoured by Women Inc as one of the Most Influential Corporate Board Directors.

Adding to all of her work with Google, Bita also serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Prologis (PLD). She holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Boston College and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Salem State University.
