Accenture and Google Cloud Extend AI Technology Partnership

Accenture deepens its collaboration with Google Cloud by building on an existing relationship to accelerate enterprise adoption of AI and digital transformation.
The partnershipâs expansion reinforces the firmsâ shared focus on harnessing advanced technology to meet sector-specific challenges, improve operations and open new opportunities for innovation.
The move comes after joint efforts in Saudi Arabia to bolster the uptake of Gen AI capabilities and cloud technologies.
It also introduces several new solutions aimed at streamlining customer experience, updating mainframe infrastructure and unlocking the potential of edge computing for industries including utilities, manufacturing and the public sector.
Scaling AI for industry-specific impact
At the heart of the expanded partnership is the joint Accenture Google Gen AI Center of Excellence.
This initiative brings together Accentureâs enterprise transformation experience and Google Cloudâs advanced reasoning models to develop agentic AI systems â intelligent agents capable of learning from and reacting to operational data.
This includes support for Google Cloudâs Agent2Agent (A2A) interoperability protocol, which enables different AI agents to work together across platforms.
Accentureâs AI Refinery platform will underpin these capabilities, allowing organisations to integrate AI agents into applications and business workflows.
Andy Tay, Global Lead of Accenture Cloud First, explains: âAccenture is continuing to strengthen its strategic partnership with Google Cloud, investing in new capabilities to help our clients accelerate reinvention and spur innovation.
âPowered by Accentureâs deep industry and functional expertise alongside Googleâs advanced technology, we are helping clients build an agile cloud-based digital core, integrating advanced data and AI technologies.â
This alignment also introduces packaged accelerators combining Salesforceâs Agentforce and Google Cloudâs Gemini models to reduce deployment time and deliver measurable outcomes faster.
Revamping infrastructure with Cloud and WAN integration
Technology plays a central role in delivering smarter, more scalable enterprise solutions.
Accenture will incorporate Google Cloudâs new Cloud Wide Area Network (WAN) service into its Cloud Network Operator.
This integration aims to connect users to both private and public applications, enabling seamless access while maintaining governance, compliance and security.
With a unified interface â or a "single pane of glass" â organisations can manage global infrastructure, automate network operations and implement zero-touch provisioning.
These capabilities simplify network management and reduce human error in large-scale, distributed environments.
In tandem, Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) solutions will receive new support.
These enable organisations to deploy and manage workloads across on-premise and edge data centres, meeting data residency, latency and sovereignty requirements â key in regulated sectors.
Accenture is also introducing packaged GDC solutions tailored to specific industries.
In the utilities sector, this includes tools for real-time data collection and AI-led analysis to reduce downtime in remote areas and improve predictive maintenance.
Similar applications are set for manufacturing and public services.
Mainframe modernisation forms another part of the strategy.
By embedding Gemini-led tools into its GenWizard platform, Accenture enables faster mainframe inventory analysis, cost reduction and a stronger security posture.
These upgrades free up resources for forward-facing initiatives.
Enhancing customer engagement with AI agents
As part of customer experience transformation, Accenture is deploying its GenWizard platform alongside the Google Customer Engagement suite.
This combination facilitates:
- Migration from legacy contact systems to Contact-Centre-as-a-Service
- Development of GenAI-based testing tools
- Creation of AI agents from historical call data
- Provision of omni-channel analytics
These tools aim to reduce time-to-resolution, increase personalisation and elevate overall customer satisfaction.
AI-trained agents will deliver more intelligent interactions, while automation reduces repetitive work for human employees, allowing focus on higher-value tasks.
Recognition of Accentureâs capability continues with Google Cloud naming it both 2025 Global Services Partner of the Year and Artificial Intelligence - Global Innovation & Solutions Partner of the Year.
Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Organisation at Google Cloud, says: "We're proud to name Accenture as our partner of the year for both Global Services and Artificial Intelligence Global Innovation and Solutions.
"Accenture's expertise has been instrumental in helping clients quickly move AI projects from proofs-of-concept to global production, underscoring its commitment to innovation and customer success."
Shaping the future of AI and cloud partnerships
This expanded alliance reshapes the relationship between consultancy and hyperscaler.
Google Cloud supplies infrastructure and technology, while Accenture applies its domain expertise to ensure deployment aligns with organisational goals and compliance frameworks.
With this enhanced partnership, barriers to AI adoption are lowered.
Pre-packaged, industry-ready solutions speed up the transition to AI-enhanced operations and cloud modernisation becomes more accessible.
The impact will be felt across sectors as more enterprises integrate reasoning-based and Gen AI models.
Accenture and Google Cloud’s joint focus on deployment, integration and change management will shape how the technology industry responds to evolving business demands and regulatory expectations.
As the collaboration progresses, it sets a new benchmark for combining consultancy services and cloud infrastructure to accelerate innovation, reduce costs and scale emerging technologies more effectively.
