Why Leaders Should Attend SAP’s NOW AI Tour in London

Enterprises are now looking for tangible returns as the AI hype subsides.
Software companies in particular are ramping up efforts to demonstrate practical AI applications, as organisations move beyond pilot projects and demand concrete examples of how the technology integrates with existing business systems.
In response, SAP, the enterprise software company specialising in business management systems, is bringing its SAP NOW AI Tour to London on 22 October at ExCeL.

Since the company provides software for enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and supply chain management to clients across multiple sectors, the event targets business and technology leaders seeking to implement AI across procurement, supply chain, finance and human resources functions.
What does SAP’s event entail?
The tour forms part of SAP’s push to demonstrate how organisations can integrate AI with existing data infrastructure and business applications.
The London event will feature demonstrations of SAP’s AI-powered solutions, with a focus on how these tools connect across different business functions.
The SAP Experience Centre at the venue will show working examples of systems where human workers, AI agents, and automated equipment operate together.
Leila Romane, SAP’s UK and Ireland Managing Director, will open the event.
This will be followed by presentations from Emmanuel Raptopoulos, Chief Revenue Officer at SAP and Stephan de Barse, President of Global Business Suite at SAP, who will outline the company’s strategy for AI deployment in enterprise settings.
The agenda includes sessions on procurement operations, supply chain resilience, manufacturing processes and sustainable sourcing.
Procurement leaders attending the event will see demonstrations of how AI tools can analyse supplier data, identify risks in multi-tier supply chains, and suggest sourcing alternatives.
Finance professionals will see applications focused on financial planning, reporting and compliance tasks, while HR teams can explore tools for workforce planning and employee management.
The sessions aim to show how these functions can share data through integrated systems rather than operating as separate departments.
The event will also feature customer presentations from organisations using SAP’s AI tools.
Thomas Holtmanns from Vodafone Group Services and Michele Pietsch from Renewable Power Capital, an investment firm focused on energy projects, will discuss their implementations.
Steven Frayne, a performer formerly known as Dynamo the Magician, will deliver a keynote presentation.
The day concludes with a networking session for attendees to connect with SAP staff, implementation partners and other users of the company’s software.
SAP’s demonstration of AI agents working with humans
The SAP Experience Centre will demonstrate what the company calls “collaborative ecosystems” where AI agents work alongside human employees.
AI agents are software programmes that can complete multi-step tasks autonomously, such as processing purchase orders, updating inventory records or generating reports based on predefined rules and machine learning models.
These agents differ from traditional automation because they can handle exceptions and make decisions within parameters set by human managers.
The demonstrations will show how these agents integrate with robotic systems in manufacturing and logistics settings, including equipment that can receive instructions from AI systems and adjust operations based on real-time data.
SAP’s approach connects AI agents with what it calls business AI, which refers to AI systems trained on enterprise data and designed for specific business processes rather than general-purpose tasks.
This means the systems work with a company’s existing data about customers, suppliers, inventory and operations.
Leila says the event will “inspire, inform and connect leaders across industries” as they examine how AI can “accelerate growth, efficiency and innovation” in their organisations.
