StarHub and NeutraDC in Quantum Safe Network Partnership

StarHub and NeutraDC, the data centre division of Telkom Indonesia, have established a Memorandum of Understanding to deliver enhanced connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia.
The partnership is set to provide low-latency, quantum-safe network services to enterprises operating across the two markets.
This agreement merges StarHubâs Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution with the carrier-neutral data centre platform offered by NeutraDC.
The collaboration is designed to address the increasing need for secure and efficient cross-border data transit as businesses continue to distribute their digital workloads across numerous data centres and cloud environments.
By integrating their services, StarHub and NeutraDC aim to provide customers with more predictable performance for their critical applications and strengthen the digital infrastructure linking the neighbouring countries.
Strengthening digital infrastructure for data-intensive workloads
Under the terms of the agreement, StarHub is set to build a Point of Presence (PoP) within NeutraDCâs SNG-3 data centre in Singapore. This PoP will embed StarHubâs Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution directly into the NeutraDC ecosystem.
This integration could facilitate low-latency connections between data centres, cloud on-ramps and subsea cable landing stations.
The move provides businesses with a consistent method for exchanging data between facilities in both nations, supporting Singaporeâs position as a digital hub. Customers of NeutraDC will have the opportunity to leverage StarHubâs sub-1 millisecond routes to cable landing stations, which are important for services dependent on stable cross-border latency.
StarHubâs solution is built for enterprises that rely on the swift movement of data for distributed applications, offering predictable routing and automated provisioning tools for high-throughput and time-sensitive operations.
Tan Kit Yong, Chief Regional Enterprise at StarHub, says: âEnterprises today are navigating exceptional data demands, and they need infrastructure that can keep up with their growth. Through this collaboration with NeutraDC, weâre making it simpler for businesses to move, protect and scale their data, helping them unlock real performance advantages and accelerate their digital transformation across the region.â
Preparing for post-quantum security threats
A key element of the partnership is the introduction of quantum-safe encryption. Both StarHub and NeutraDC plan to address the future security challenges posed by quantum computing by integrating post-quantum cryptography into their connectivity offerings.
This focus on quantum-safe networking addresses the risk that future advances in computing could compromise current encryption standards.
At the NeutraDC SNG-3 facility, customers will be able to access quantum-safe transport services. These services will be paired with orchestration tools that automate the provisioning and management of encrypted links between data centres.
This approach is intended to simplify the operational tasks associated with maintaining secure connections across multiple sites.
The use of software-defined networking features also allows customers to adjust their capacity as needed, providing greater flexibility for organisations that manage large volumes of data or traffic across different geographical locations.
Building a unified interconnect ecosystem
The partnership is focused on delivering secure and efficient data pathways that are prepared for future threats.
Sendang Praptomo, CEO at NeutraDC Singapore, says: âWe are excited to work with StarHub, a leader with a proven track record of connectivity solutions. This strategic initiative strengthens NeutraDCâs strategy of providing seamless, secure and cloud-ready connectivity to our regional Neutra Compute GPU clouds.
"Quantum secure connectivity represents the new frontier of security, overcoming the limitations of current encryption standards. This will empower our customers to stay ahead of emerging threats and meet evolving business requirements.â
This agreement with NeutraDC extends StarHubâs network of regional partnerships as StarHub continues to broaden the reach of its Low-Latency Data Centre Connect service throughout Southeast Asia.
The model is intended to offer enterprises a unified framework for connecting data facilities, cloud services and subsea routes with consistent performance and quantum-safe security.
By uniting NeutraDCâs carrier-neutral environment with StarHubâs interconnect platform, the collaboration aims to support data centre operators and enterprise clients that need secure, low-latency connectivity to facilitate regional expansion.
