Salesforce’s AI platform Agentforce is touring the globe, showcasing its potential to automate tasks, enhance workflows & unlock new creative opportunities

As we navigate through the summer of 2025, Salesforce continues to capture attention.

Since the debut of its AI marvel, Agentforce, last year, the tech titan has embarked on an expansive campaign to embed this innovation in the minds of business leaders worldwide.

The Agentforce World Tour, rivaling even the magnitude of Taylor Swift's concerts, introduces a sophisticated platform employing AI agents for task automation, employee assistance and customer relationship management.

This tour has spanned across all five continents, with additional events planned, signalling Salesforce's belief in the groundbreaking potential of its AI solutions, eagerly championed by Marc Benioff and his team.

“This isn’t just hype,” Salesforce’s long-term CEO said recently. “This is real technology that can lower your costs, make things easier and deliver the vision of digital labour to you and your company – now.”

The engaging London event at ExCel, with influential discussions by Zahra Bahrololoumi and Paul O’Sullivan, offered insights into Agentforce's capabilities to a captivated audience of 12,000 attendees.

Post-event, we delved deeper into Agentforce with Paul, exploring his enthusiasm for this technological leap forward.

Transformative AI developments

Paul O'Sullivan's enthusiasm for Agentforce stems from a carefully charted path of AI development. Salesforce's journey into AI began as early as 2014, emphasising ethical and responsible AI deployment. “We kind of saw this was coming,” he says, "and the real focus to start with was actually let's reflect on our core values and our number one core value is trust."

This ethical groundwork led to the creation of Einstein in 2016, a predictive AI model. However, a pivotal moment arrived in September 2023, when Salesforce's R&D team recognised the extensive potential beyond simple text generation.

“We're sitting on a platform that has a tonne of capability that enables our customers to manage their workflows," Paul reflects.

Through integration with their existing systems, Salesforce brought to life what Paul describes as the ability to "trigger actions" - ushering in an era of truly agentic AI.

Unlike traditional generative AI models like ChatGPT, agentic AI transcends text generation, bringing function and fulfilment to AI operations.

A visionary workforce

Agentforce heralds a redefinition of workforce potential, extending beyond mere automation.

Paul envisions businesses leveraging a "limitless workforce," replicating top-tier expertise through AI agents that operate tirelessly.

"When you find one of these fantastic people, you tend to gravitate towards them," Paul says of traditional workplace dynamics.

Agentforce transforms this model, distributing expertise across a multitude of AI agents.

The ongoing world tour serves to demonstrate these transformative capabilities, with executives from companies like Heathrow and Capita sharing their explorations and successes with Agentforce.

"If you are employing people and you have a workforce, you can benefit from it,” Paul says, referring to the versatility of the software.

Engaging with Agentforce

For enterprises keen to integrate Agentforce, Paul recommends a proactive approach.

"The biggest thing in all of this is just give it a go," he insists. "Break that barrier of, 'I'm not sure, I feel a bit uneasy, it's something new.'"

Celebrating both successes and setbacks during implementation is crucial, as agents can be up and running in merely two weeks. However, continuous improvement remains essential.

"We need to iterate on our agents because we'll always be going through a fine tuning process of making sure that we've got the right guardrails, the right controls," he adds.

Unlocking human creativity

Addressing concerns of AI superseding human creativity, Paul presents a different narrative. Rather than a threat, AI serves as a catalyst for unleashing creativity.

"I actually think script writers and journalists will be the best prompt writers of the future," he suggests, arguing that their descriptive abilities make them naturally suited to working with AI systems.

The overarching vision allows humans to focus on more creative and meaningful pursuits, freed from mundane tasks by Agentforce.

"I think we all are looking for more time in our day to do some of these creative recreational types of activities," he says.
