Ineos Grenadiers Target Tour de France Win via Netcompany AI
Ineos Grenadiers, the British professional cycling team, will use Netcompany’s AI-driven platform PULSE to help individual racers and their team to gain a decisive competitive advantage.
The five-year technology partnership will officially begin at the start of the Giro d’Italia – the second most important stage race for professional cycling after the Tour de France, running on 8-31 May 2026 – and will see the team rebranded as Netcompany Ineos Cycling Team.
This marks the first major deployment of PULSE into elite sport.
What is PULSE?
PULSE acts as a control tower for organisations and public authorities by collecting, connecting and analysing data across complex ecosystems.
It flags anomalies by consolidating information from multiple data sources – such as CCTV cameras, control rooms and databases – to provide a comprehensive view of operations for real-time decision-making.
PULSE assigns criticality scores to events, suggest mitigating actions and initiates coordination within an organisations’ ecosystem to maintain continuity.
The technology is already signed on to support HM Revenue and Customs, the Trader Support Service and Heathrow Airport in the UK.
André Rogaczewski, CEO and Co-Founder of Netcompany, says: “As a leading European AI technology company fighting for Europe’s digital sovereignty, joining forces with the most successful cycling team of the modern era and the UK’s only WorldTour team is a unique opportunity.
“This partnership supports our strategic ambition to accelerate growth across Europe by demonstrating the impact of cutting-edge technology and AI at the highest level of sport.
“Together, we aim to enable smarter decision-making, strengthen competitive advantage and help the team in winning the Tour de France again.”
AI that looks after data so racers can focus on winning
The team supporting British cyclists will use PULSE to strip away guesswork during high-stakes races.
By unifying fragmented data – such as information from a rider’s live core temperature or the weather patterns on a mountain pass – the platform allows staff to make tactical calls.
For instance, if PULSE detects a rider’s glucose levels dipping just as a crosswind picks up, the team can instantly direct a support car to deliver a specific carb-gel before the cyclist has to stop.
Geraint Thomas, Director of Racing, says: “I’ve seen first-hand how much the sport has evolved. But what hasn’t changed is the importance of doing all the basics well and paying attention to the tiny details. That’s what ultimately leads to success on the road.”
Context-aware planning brings training, travel and race logistics into one clear view, then updates the plan as conditions change.
“Netcompany’s PULSE AI platform will help with that across every part of the team,” Geraint adds.
“It gives us confidence in the systems and in the quality of the data and information we’re working from in real time, so everyone is aligned and working off the same hymn sheet.
“From my side, it’s about creating an environment where riders can focus fully on racing, while the team around them is connected and making the best possible decisions.
“If we get that balance right, it will make a real difference when it counts.”
