IBM debuts advanced AI and hybrid cloud tools, driving secure, scalable enterprise AI adoption with enhanced developer productivity and governance

IBM has announced a suite of new enterprise AI products built for production readiness and seamless integration to hypercharge AI adoption across organisations.

At the IBM TechXchange 2025, the company unveiled a series of innovations that help companies move beyond AI experimentation and securely operationalise AI.

Among the products announced, is IBM’s new agentic AI framework, watsonx Orchestrate, that offers over 500 tools and customisable domain specific AI agents.

The platform is built to simplify complex workflows by allowing users to create, deploy and manage AI agents that collaborate across business functions.

Orchestrate features AgentOps, an agentic observability and governance layer which can provide complete transparency through real-time monitoring.

IBM’s AI first IDE to speed up software development

IBM’s new Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Project Bob has integrated AI capabilities that can speed up and modernise organisation’s Software development Lifecycles (SDLC).

Project Bob is equipped to work alongside developers to write, test, upgrade and help secure source code.

It enables software developers to directly chat with Bob inside the text editor, speeding up workflows with the help of AI assistance that knows the enterprise architecture.

IBM says that over 6000 of their developers are already using Bob and have reported an average of 45% productivity gains.

The project is now in tech preview scale, heralding a major milestone in integrating AI into software development lifecycles.

IBM and Anthropic partnering to accelerate enterprise AI

As a result of a partnership with Anthropic’s, Claude LLM will be infused into IBM products including in Project Bob.

Dinesh said on LinkedIn that less than 5% of enterprises are getting ROI from their AI investments.

“Together, IBM and Anthropic are focused on breaking down those barriers to using AI effectively, efficiently and safely.”
