AWS & NTT DATA: Leaders in AI-Driven Cloud Transformation
AWS and NTT DATA have entered into a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) designed to accelerate the modernisation of enterprise cloud systems and drive innovations in responsible AI.
The partnership brings together two of the technology sector's heavyweights, combining NTT DATA's expertise in cloud-native transformation and agentic AI with the scalability and speed of AWS.
This collaboration positions agentic AI and Gen AI capabilities at the centre of enterprise transformation strategies.
The SCA aims to help enterprises modernise legacy systems, establish secure and compliant foundations on AWS and scale innovation for business-critical outcomes.
- AI-driven cloud transformation
- Industry cloud solutions on AWS
- AI and data innovation for managed services
- Digital sovereignty and regulated cloud.
Abhijit Dubey, President and CEO of NTT DATA, says: “Cloud and AI are central to enterprise transformation.
“Through our Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS, we are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI impactfully and responsibly.
“This collaboration underscores our commitment to deliver secure, industry-specific solutions that create tangible business value for our clients worldwide.”
Agentic AI and cloud migration
One of the agreement's central pillars is AI-driven cloud transformation. Together, NTT DATA and AWS will looks to help enterprises migrate and modernise on-premises workloads using Gen AI and agentic AI combined with automation and data platforms.
This approach enables new business models and intelligent operations across large organisations, fundamentally changing how legacy infrastructure supports AI workloads.
NTT DATA's Industry Cloud, comprising more than 500 pre-built business components and domain-specific AI agents, will deliver repeatable, regulated and scalable solutions across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and the public sector.
These pre-configured AI agents allow organisations to deploy sector-specific intelligence without building capabilities from scratch.
Expanding AI-driven customer experiences
Leveraging an AWS partnership on Amazon Connect, NTT DATA will expand AI-driven customer experience modernisation efforts, particularly for enterprise contact centres seeking to enhance engagement with automation and analytics.
This focus on managed services demonstrates how AI transforms customer interactions beyond traditional automation.
Additionally, NTT DATA will deliver sovereign-by-design architectures on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, enabling governments and enterprises in Europe to meet data residency and operational autonomy requirements without compromising on performance or security.
This addresses growing concerns around AI governance and data sovereignty.
Greg Pearson, VP of AWS Global Sales, says: “This collaboration will help more enterprise organisations unlock the potential of the cloud and AI to modernise their operations and accelerate innovation.
“Through industry-aligned architecture platforms, agentic AI ecosystems, AI-driven customer experience and support in meeting evolving regulatory requirements through the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, we're enhancing their ability to transform legacy workloads and build the next generation of digital experiences on AWS.”
Building AI talent and capabilities
To support delivery, NTT DATA has created a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned with AWS' own sales and delivery model.
Nearly 11,000 AWS-certified experts will staff the unit, with a goal to certify another 10,000 professionals over the next three years.
Joint innovation programmes, client enablement sessions and executive certifications will further empower enterprises to adopt AI-powered cloud solutions faster.
The collaboration also emphasises co-innovation through dedicated innovation environments and sandboxes on AWS, where the partners will co-develop and test new enterprise-grade AI solutions before scaling them for global deployment.
One company benefitting from the partnership's effectiveness is Honda Trading Asia, which has undergone a digital transformation.
Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, Honda Trading Asia serves as a comprehensive trading partner in the Honda Group's supply chain, specialising in the import, export and distribution of raw materials and components.
Somya Mayuraskoon, Director of Honda Trading Asia, says: “Migrating to the AWS Cloud with the expert support of NTT DATA has been an essential step in modernising our systems and infrastructure and provides us with a powerful foundation for AI innovation.
“NTT DATA were always available to address our technical questions and worked closely with us to stay within our timeline and budget.
“Their expertise and support ensured a smooth transition, unlocking exciting growth possibilities through AWS.”
