How DXC Targets AI Execution Gap with New Advisory Group

Enterprise technology firm DXC Technology has launched AdvisoryX, a new consulting group to help businesses deploy AI.
The launch is supported by new DXC research that reveals a major gap between the corporate desire for AI and the ability to implement it.
The study shows that while AI is a board-level priority, organisations face major roadblocks when scaling up from pilot projects.
Research data shows 77% of leaders call AI a priority, but 65% struggle to create a clear business case.
This is worsened by practical issues, with 94% of organisations facing problems when deploying AI at scale.
Pete McEvoy, Global Head of AdvisoryX, said firms are pressured to ‘do AI’ but often lack the fundamentals, such as optimised data and clear business cases, which is why pilots fail to scale.
Bridging the AI strategy and execution gap
AdvisoryX will help organisations by blending strategic consulting with DXC’s engineering and operational skills.
The group will establish the foundations for successful AI integration, covering strategy, technology and risk.
The research also found 30% of firms plan to implement agentic AI within months, which seems ambitious given widespread execution issues.
Survey data shows a preference for collaborative AI, with half of leaders expecting to use hybrid models requiring human approval for key decisions.
Another 31% see AI primarily assisting humans, with only 15% expecting fully autonomous systems in the near future.
By 2028, 81% of leaders believe AI will boost demand for jobs in IT, data and cybersecurity.
McEvoy adds that AdvisoryX helps build the technical foundations and human-centric interfaces needed for AI to scale responsibly and deliver a real impact.
Enterprises are under intense pressure to ‘do AI’, but most still lack the fundamentals – optimised data, clear business cases, aligned leadership and the right technical architecture.
A framework for enterprise AI adoption
To support this, DXC developed five interconnected AI solutions under its Xponential framework.
These are designed to address key execution challenges, including strategy leadership alignment and technical capability.
The framework is structured as follows:
- AI Core - this handles data modelling, governance and platform architecture to form the foundation for enterprise-grade AI.
- AI Reinvent - this provides industry-specific use cases for models from human-assisted to fully autonomous.
- AI Interact - this focuses on redesigning workflows and interfaces for effective human-AI collaboration.
- AI Validate - this layer runs continuous testing, observability and governance to check for accuracy, quality and safety.
- AI Manage - this component is for production operations and lifecycle management as models and infrastructure evolve.
This structured approach is intended to help customers manage risk while creating value.
A new identity for an AI-focused future
Coinciding with the AdvisoryX launch, DXC Technology has also refreshed its brand identity to reflect its strategic direction and focus on AI.
"Our visual identity now matches the pace and ambition of our strategy," says Anthony Pappas, Chief Marketing Officer at DXC Technology.
Anthony adds the refresh shows DXC Technology is "more focused, more unified and more aligned to the AI-driven future."
DXC works with large organisations on core systems in sectors like banking, healthcare and the public sector.
The new branding signals DXC's commitment to guiding clients through tech transformation.
"It captures our evolution and reinforces our commitment to helping enterprises...transform with confidence for the future," Anthony says.
