Axiado raised $100m to scale its AI driven Trusted Control & Compute Unit, improving hardware security and efficient management across key AI data centres

Axiado Corporation has finalised an oversubscribed Series C+ funding round, securing more than US$100m.

The investment is earmarked for scaling Axiado's hardware-anchored security and system management solutions that are purpose-built for artificial intelligence data centres.

Based in San Jose, Axiado develops AI-driven products focused on platform security, energy efficiency and secure computing at the semiconductor level.

The funding will be used to accelerate product development and support global go-to-market growth across cloud telecom and edge computing environments.

The round was led by Maverick Silicon and saw participation from Prosperity7 Ventures, Orbit Venture Partners, Crosslink Capital and Nosterra Ventures, among others.

This investment arrives as the demands of AI workloads place new pressures on data centre infrastructure, requiring more sophisticated security and management solutions that operate at the hardware level.

Hardware-anchored security for AI infrastructure

At the core of Axiado's strategy is its Trusted Control/Compute Unit (TCU), an AI-enabled chip that integrates compute control and monitoring functions onto a single piece of hardware.

The TCU is designed for large-scale data centres and cloud infrastructure, providing continuous sensing and processing to facilitate self-managing and resilient systems.

This approach could be crucial for AI environments where security threats need to be neutralised in real time without impacting performance.

Gopi Sirineni, Founder, President and CEO of Axiado, says: "The strong response to our Series C+ round is a clear validation from our customers and partners that AI-driven hardware-anchored security is now a foundational requirement for today's data centres."

Gopi explained that the funding will help expand sales, marketing and support operations while also fuelling the development of next-generation products. A key objective is to deepen strategic engagements with OEM and ODM partners to accelerate the deployment of Axiado’s technology into commercial data centres worldwide.

Meeting the demands of AI workloads

As AI models become more complex and compute-intensive, data centre operators face the challenge of implementing security that can keep pace at an infrastructural level.

The Axiado TCU is engineered to meet this need by combining trusted silicon with intelligent management capabilities that can optimise power and cooling in tandem with security enforcement.

Axiado's architecture allows secure control and monitoring to function autonomously and independently of the primary compute resources, which is a key factor in maintaining performance for AI-driven tasks.

Andrew Homan, Managing Partner at Maverick Silicon, says: "As AI workloads continue to transform and push the limits of data centre infrastructure, the need for hardware-anchored security has never been greater.

"Axiado's TCU not only protects infrastructure from threats in real time but also helps optimise power and cooling. We're proud to support their mission to build secure, intelligent and sustainable AI-ready computing environments." Abishek Shukla, Managing Director at Prosperity7 Ventures US, shares a similar view.

"At Prosperity, we invest in technologies that create the foundation for safe and responsible AI.

“Axiado's AI-driven TCU architecture and its innovations in secure energy-aware system management perfectly align with that vision. As AI systems become increasingly autonomous and compute-intensive, Axiado's ability to blend silicon-level trust with intelligent power optimisation and system management positions it at the leading edge of a more secure and sustainable digital future.”

Global expansion and strategic influence

Axiado has already been expanding its international presence to support its growth ambitions, doubling its headcount in Taiwan and India and opening a new office in India.

According to Axiado, its overall team has grown by 40% in preparation for a global scale-up in 2026 and beyond. This expansion demonstrates a commitment to building a worldwide support network for its technology.

Further validation of Axiado’s direction comes from its investors, including Lip-Bu Tan, former CEO of Intel Corporation.

His involvement brings considerable experience from the semiconductor and data infrastructure sectors, signalling strong industry support for Axiado's technological approach and its potential for integration within the wider silicon ecosystem.

Writing on LinkedIn, Lip-Bu says: “Congrats Gopi on closing US$100 million Series C+ round and I am pleased to be an investor and be part of Axiado's journey together.”
