As CTIO of Capgemini Invent, Kary’s role is to define the business and sectorial implications of emerging technologies that are of strategic importance to Capgemini Invent, inform go-to-market implementation plans, aid in the creation of new client-specific solutions and services, and contribute to thought leadership on innovative technologies. He is also a member of Capgemini Group’s Technology, Innovation and Ventures council, which sets the technology strategy and investment agenda for the company.
Prior to joining Capgemini Invent, he was the Director of Research at an AI startup, and an economic researcher for the EU Horizon 2020 project. He is the author of The Blockchain Alternative, and has given 2 TEDx talks on the effect of decentralized technologies on capitalism. In a previous life, he was a legionnaire in the French Foreign Legion, and was awarded the Cross of Valor for combat operations in Afghanistan.
