AI to Transform Telco Strategies at DTW Ignite 2025

TM Forum is set to host DTW Ignite in Copenhagen this June, offering an essential platform for discussions on artificial intelligence within the telecommunications industry. Scheduled from 17 to 19 June at the Bella Center, the event's 2025 agenda integrates three focused pathways, reflective of critical industry missions: Composable IT & Ecosystems, Autonomous Networks, and AI & Data Innovation.
This summit arrives at an opportune moment for the telecom sector as it seeks to establish itself at the heart of the AI revolution. Under the banner ‘Pathways To Growth: Real challenges, real solutions, real change,’ the gathering zeroes in on actionable strategies that telecommunications companies can leverage to harness technological advancements and unlock new value streams.
AI and Autonomous Networks: Key Pillars of DTW Ignite
Over 130 speakers from leading names like AWS, IBM, Microsoft, Nvidia, and T-Mobile will share insights that underscore AI's pivotal role in evolving telco dynamics. Through demonstrations, case studies, and collaboration opportunities, delegates will engage in knowledge exchange tailored to guide AI integration within networks.
- DTW Ignite 2025 will take place from 17-19 June at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, with Huawei's Operations Transformation Forum occurring on 16 June.
- The event features over 130 speakers from companies including AWS, IBM, Microsoft, Nvidia and T-Mobile, plus 50 new Catalyst projects involving more than 200 companies.
- The programme focuses on three pathways: Composable IT & Ecosystems, Autonomous Networks and AI & Data Innovation.
As stated by Nik Willetts, CEO of TM Forum: “DTW Ignite isn't just another conference; it's the industry’s proving ground. We're not gathering to just talk about the future, we're there to build it, together.” This highlights the summit's core intent: to address critical AI complexities and guide telecom firms in constructing the AI-enhanced networks of tomorrow.
The summit's Autonomous Networks pathway will particularly highlight the deployment of Level 4 autonomous networks—a key AI advancement in telecom. These sessions will delve into how AI, machine learning, and analytics streamline network operations, ultimately boosting efficiency.
AI & Data Innovation: Shaping Telecommunications Evolution
In the AI & Data Innovation track, participants will collaborate on developing a standardized blueprint for AI deployment within telecom environments. This involves ensuring secure and scalable AI integration, which is fundamental to maintaining robust telecommunications infrastructures.
For the first time, DTW Ignite will merge with Huawei’s Operations Transformation Forum (OTF), which precedes the main event on 16 June. Marking its 10th year, the OTF centers on “All Intelligent Operations Ignite New Growth,” with a focus on advancing intelligent operations through AI applications.
Attendees of this newly combined event will have the chance to explore over 50 Catalyst projects in the Innovation Zone and Innovation Hub, showcasing collaborative problem-solving via hackathons and result sprints.
Interactive Experiences and Networking
The 2025 program introduces the Solutions Room, a space where participants can engage directly to solve common industry challenges, fostering actionable approaches. The Executive Connect initiative will further encourage dialogue between communication service providers and tech vendors, with an anticipated 400 CSP professionals in attendance.
Technological advancements in Open Digital Architecture (ODA), including Open APIs and ODA Components, will be demonstrated alongside the Autonomous Network Summit, offering masterclasses from industry experts. This practical demonstration of AI integration will be a highlight for those focused on optimizing network automation.
Moreover, the summit's interactive application allows participants to nominate and vote for project demonstrations, ensuring the most relevant content is spotlighted. Networking opportunities supplement the formal schedule, capped by the TM Forum Excellence Awards to celebrate outstanding industry achievements.
Support for the event is robust, with sponsorship from over 35 key companies across telecommunications and technology, including Amdocs, AWS, Ericsson, Huawei, Netcracker, Oracle, Tech Mahindra and Tecnotree.
As Nik Willetts puts it: “This is our moment to be a part of the change, and we’re excited to bring the industry together in June.”
