TCS and NVIDIA have joined for a new business unit to speed up AI adoption with industry solutions for sectors like manufacturing, telecoms and automotive

In an age where AI adoption is top of the agenda for enterprises large and small, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has taken a significant step forward by launching a new business unit in partnership with NVIDIA. 

This initiative is designed to accelerate the integration of AI technologies across various industries, reflecting a growing demand for tailored solutions that can drive efficiency and innovation.

By joining forces with NVIDIA, TCS aims to lead the charge in AI innovation, building solutions that are ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities of an AI-powered future.

AI integration across industries

This new venture combines the strengths of both organisations to offer bespoke AI-driven solutions.

Under the umbrella of TCS' AI.Cloud division, this collaboration builds on over five years of partnership, merging TCS' extensive industry expertise with NVIDIA's cutting-edge AI platforms.

TCS has developed several industry-specific offerings:

Manufacturing AI for Industrials: This solution integrates AI and large language models to transform raw data into actionable insights, addressing the challenge of traditional LLMs lacking contextual knowledge for industry-specific data.

TCS AI Spectrum for BFSI: Built on the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform, this offering aims to enhance decision-making, risk management and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.

Cognitive Visual Receiving: This retail-focused solution combines NVIDIA AI Enterprise and Omniverse technology to automate warehouse tasks such as quality checks and product identification.

Autonomous Vehicle Platform: Utilising NVIDIA's Omniverse and AI Enterprise, this platform supports automotive manufacturers in developing self-driving features through simulations and synthetic data generation.

TCS has developed a proprietary framework that combines its domain expertise with NVIDIA's AI technology to deliver "agentic AI solutions". 

This framework incorporates NVIDIA NIM microservices and agent blueprints, aiming to provide more tailored and impactful AI-driven outcomes for clients.

As part of its broader strategy, TCS is also developing digital twin solutions on the NVIDIA Omniverse platform. 

These virtual replicas of physical systems allow companies to simulate, monitor and optimise processes across various industries. 

Examples include the 'Factory of the Future' for manufacturing, 'In-Car Digital Twin' for automotive, 'Aero Care Efficiency' for aerospace, and 'Smart Farming Digital Twin' for agriculture.

This expanded collaboration aims to boost TCS' AI capabilities and assist key clients in achieving enterprise-wide transformation, positioning both companies at the forefront of AI innovation across multiple industries.
