Revolut introduces AI talent management tools to its People platform, empowering firms to optimise workforce efficiency and competitive hiring practices

It is no secret that most companies across the world are facing increasing pressure to optimise their workforce capabilities while controlling costs.

AI is emerging as a well-known tool to help with this particular challenge, but with so many AI tools available, it can be challenging to know what best suits a company's specific needs.

Now, taking a collaborative approach, Revolut has expanded its people management platform with a suite of AI tools – designed to transform how businesses handle talent acquisition and development.

This is the company’s first integration of AI across Revolut People, the performance management system that has supported the company's expansion to over 10,000 employees globally.

The power of Revolut’s new suite of AI tools

The new functionality incorporates AI-powered capabilities across the entire employee lifecycle, from initial interviews through to performance reviews and engagement measurement.

It aims to address core challenges in talent management by reducing manual administrative work while improving consistency in hiring and development processes.

Revolut People was initially developed as an internal system to manage its rapid growth before becoming commercialised in 2023 for businesses in the UK and the European Economic Area.

The platform now expands its offering with technology that analyses data from multiple sources to provide insights for managers.

By automating aspects of the talent management process, Revolut’s people platform is a solution for organisations seeking to maintain competitive advantage through their hiring and retention strategies.

The role of AI analysis in Revolut’s transformative interview processes

A central component of the update focuses on interview management, where AI technology analyses candidate responses against job criteria while simultaneously assessing interviewer performance.

Head of People Product at Revolut, Andrei Oprisor

Andrei Oprisor, Head of People Product at Revolut, says: “Businesses that prioritise recruiting top-tier talent need a people product that they can rely on to help them nurture their employees, figure out where development is needed and retain those top players.”

By creating automatic summaries of interviews, eliminating the need for manual note-taking during hiring conversations, the system addresses a common challenge in recruitment: maintaining consistency across interviews while ensuring interviewers can focus on candidate assessment rather than documentation.

Furthermore, the AI capture system allows hiring managers to maintain eye contact and engagement during conversations, with assurance that key points are  recorded systematically.

The platform also introduces a feedback mechanism for interviewers, providing data on their questioning techniques and interview approach.

It creates a development opportunity for hiring managers to refine their recruitment skills, potentially leading to more effective talent acquisition over time.

For organisations experiencing rapid growth, the consistency offered by AI-supported interviews may provide a mechanism to maintain hiring standards even as recruitment volumes increase and new interviewers join the process.

How AI is enhancing Revolut's employees development

Beyond recruitment, Revolut has also implemented AI technology to transform performance reviews by aggregating data from multiple sources, including one-to-one meetings, peer feedback and skills utilisation.

The system analyses information to generate more comprehensive assessments of employee performance than traditional methods – and this approach aims to address a persistent challenge in performance management: the time required to gather and synthesise feedback from various stakeholders.

Some key AI-driven features in Revolut's talent management suite:
  • Automated interview analysis
  • Real-time interview summaries
  • Interviewer feedback loops
  • Multisource performance reviews
  • AI-powered engagement analysis
  • Meeting summarisation tool

By automating this process, Revolut suggests managers can redirect their efforts from administrative tasks to substantive development conversations with team members.

The platform additionally applies AI analysis to engagement surveys, automatically identifying themes and generating suggested actions for managers based on employee feedback.

The functionality attempts to reduce the lag between data collection and implementation of changes, potentially increasing the responsiveness of organisations to employee concerns.

These features build upon the recent introduction of AI meeting summarisation within the platform, which captures insights from one-to-one conversations and automatically generates action items for both managers and team members.

For Revolut, which operates in the competitive fintech sector where talent acquisition remains challenging, developing these tools shows its approach to using technology to address internal operational needs before commercialising solutions.

“That's where the balance between AI and the human element comes in,” Andrei says.

“Real talent development happens face-to-face by managers inspiring their direct reports. AI is increasingly capable of handling the data and admin side, freeing up more time for managers to focus on guiding talent towards the next step in their careers, as well as figuring out new ways to build cultures and drive positive change for those A-players.”
