People Moves: Mano Mannoochahr

Job From: SVP and Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Travelers
Job To: Chief Data, Analytics & AI Officer at Verizon
Verizon has named Mano Mannoochahr, who has over 25 years of experience with AI, as its Chief Data, Analytics & AI Officer.
This move is a push to embed AI across Verizon’s operations, from customer service to network management.
Mano brings expertise in scaling enterprise AI solutions, having led digital transformations at Travelers, GE and John Deere – and now will accelerate Verizon as a leader in applied AI within the telecommunications industry.
His mandate centers on integrating AI into Verizon’s core operations, focusing on automation, real-time analytics and intelligent decision-making.
Mano will lead a team of data scientists and engineers to enhance customer experiences, streamline network efficiency and empower employees through AI-driven tools.
At Travelers, Mano refined risk assessment models and built AI-driven customer engagement tools, while at GE, he modernised legacy systems and deployed AI to boost industrial productivity.
His work at John Deere on AI-powered farming solutions demonstrated his ability to translate data into tangible business outcomes.
A key pillar of Manno’s philosophy is democratising AI access responsibly – aiming to embed data-driven decision-making at all organisational levels, ensuring AI becomes an essential business framework rather than a siloed technology.
Now, Mano’s challenge is to position Verizon as a pioneer in AI-enhanced connectivity, with Gen AI, predictive analytics and industrial automation.
As he stated, this is a “once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine work,” with a focus on practical applications that bridge innovation and customer-centric outcomes.
