Alibaba Cloud Bolsters AI Capabilities and Partnerships
The surge in AI technology advancements is catapulting the need for advanced cloud computing platforms capable of handling intricate AI tasks. This trend is nudging cloud providers towards enhancing their offerings and establishing strategic alliances to remain competitive in the international arena. Alibaba Cloud is at the forefront of this movement, unveiling new initiatives and partnerships to expand its AI prowess and global presence.
At its yearly Partner Summit, Alibaba Cloud announced the "Alibaba Cloud Partner Rainforest Plan", a revamped strategy focusing on AI. The plan includes an AI partner accelerator program, an enriched incentive scheme, and a renewed global approach for service partners, aiming to boost the growth of global allies and hasten the development and implementation of AI and cloud solutions worldwide.
Especially notable is the growth observed in Alibaba Cloud's AI services. Its Gen AI platform, Model Studio, has grown its customer base from 90,000 in May to over 300,000, demonstrating the increasing demand for AI technology across various industries and businesses of different scales.
Alibaba Cloud introduces new AI-focused initiatives
Alibaba Cloud has rolled out several new programs tailored to support its AI-centric growth scheme.
AI Alliance Accelerator Program
This program is designed to construct a robust AI partner ecosystem through collaborations, aiming to bring together 50 AI technology partners and 50 channel partners by 2025. It offers augmented technical support, broader distribution channels, and joint go-to-market resources, greatly benefiting AI technology partners.
Revitalised Service Partner Program
Additionally, the fresh Service Partner Program is launched to both attract new service partners and enhance the skills of existing ones. It's crafted to equip partners with consulting, implementation, and managed services capabilities, which allows them to diversify their income sources.
Synergistic Incentive Program
Furthermore, the Synergistic Incentive Program has been introduced to foster stronger cooperation between global technology partners and channel partners. This initiative is aimed at creating novel revenue opportunities for technology partners while broadening the channel partners' product assortment.
Expanding global and regional partnerships
Alibaba Cloud is advancing its collaboration with both global and regional partners to deliver AI-enhanced cloud solutions in various markets worldwide.
"Our global partners are not just participants, they are the architects of a new digital landscape in the AI era," commented Selina Yuan, President of International Business, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, at the summit.
In specific regions like Indonesia, Alibaba Cloud has teamed up with Telkom Indonesia to roll out innovative AI-driven cloud solutions and foster digital skill development, supporting the country's digital transformation agenda. In Japan, the cooperation with Securai aims to satisfy the digital transformation demands of Japanese businesses by localizing Alibaba Cloud's Zstack service. In Thailand, a Memo of Understanding with Yell Group focuses on leveraging generative AI in the creative media field, promoting innovation within the industry.
Industry-specific AI applications
Alibaba Cloud's industry-specific AI solutions are reaching into various sectors.
Automotive
For instance, in collaboration with Nvidia, they are developing a substantial multimodal model solution aimed at improving in-car voice assistants to enable more complex dialogues and context-aware recommendations, potentially transforming driver-vehicle interactions.
Gaming
Additionally, the gaming industry is benefiting from Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure support. When miHoYo launched its new game "Zenless Zone Zero", it was Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure that managed the heavy server loads and extensive data processing, ensuring a smooth game launch that attracted nearly 50 million pre-beta registrations.
Travel
In the travel sector, Alibaba Cloud is optimizing Atlantis, a Singapore-based travel technology provider, by powering its AI-enabled digital chatbot, which proves AI's potential to boost efficiency and enhance user experiences in the increasingly digital-dependent travel industry.
Selina Yuan summarises the current momentum, saying: "Today, with our revamped global partner ecosystem, we are committed to supporting our global partners to jointly reap the benefits of AI era and meet the diverse business demands of global customers."
